Our skill-sets are complementary and cover the critical functional areas of Medical Device Manufacturing. Though we have our specific areas of expertise, our experience also overlaps allowing us to gain from each other’s unique experiences and perspectives.
Mark Bonifacio has over 25 years of experience in Medical Device Manufacturing across many therapeutic disciplines. After working for several major Medical Device OEMs, Bonifacio co-founded APEC, a Medical Device Contract Manufacturer, in Baldwin Park, CA and sold it to Helix Medical in 2007. After selling APEC, Mark founded Bonifacio Consulting Services which provides technical, operations, outsourcing and M&A advisory services to medical device contract manufacturers and OEMs.
Mark has an in depth knowledge of the purchasing supply chain in the medical device outsourcing space along with first degree contacts at many of the global medical device OEM's. These relationships put Mark in a unique position to secure multi-million dollar outsourcing opportunities.
Mark has a Plastics Engineering degree from U Mass Lowell and is a regular speaker at industry events.
Andrew Potter has over 15 years experience working in global manufacturing organizations with hands-on roles in Business Development, Operations (HR, IT, Inventory, Finance) and Project Management (Manufacturing Program Management). Additionally, he has over 5 years of Management Consulting experience, which includes strategic planning: identifying and researching new markets, market sizing, go-to-market strategies, core capability evaluations, competitive assessments and growth through M+A. Andrew has also worked in Private Equity organizations with roles in financial analysis, market research and due diligence.
Andrew has a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an MBA from Clark University.
Since joining Covington Associates in 1996, Ben has provided financial advisory services in the area of mergers & acquisitions to dozens of companies. Successfully completing deals with companies such as Boston Scientific, Cerner, GE and Siemens, Ben’s area of specialty is advising medical technology and healthcare services firms. Ben is a frequent speaker at healthcare conferences and author of numerous articles.
Michael Engler is the former President of AMA Plastics (Riverside, CA) where he led a 4.5 year business transformation and subsequent sale of the company.
Prior to AMA, Michael spent 14 years at TE Connectivity where he held the Global Engineering role for Molding & Stamping Center of Excellence covering all 42 manufacturing facilities. He had direct P&L responsibility for the auto business unit in North America.
Michael is a Pennsylvania native and has a B.S. in Plastics Manufacturing Technology from the Pennsylvania College of Technology.
